The Trails Church's missions strategy exists to encourage church members to take the Great Commission personally and to be effective partners in discipling neighbors in our community and among the nations. As a church, our priority for missions is supporting and participating in evangelism which results in the establishment and strengthening of biblical churches. We partner with like-minded churches and missionaries sent out be them, as well as parachurch organizations and individuals commissioned by a local church who serve in these organizations.
We have a number of strategic partners in order to help mobilize our church in the mission of God, both local and global.
Short-Term Mission Trips
Dominican Republic July 11–17, 2026
Cost (Estimate): $2,200
Children ages 10+ may be part of this team if a parent accompanies them
Take part in changing lives in the Dominican Republic by introducing vulnerable children to Jesus Christ. While the Dominican Republic has its share of ideal tourist locations, the reality is that so much of the general population lives in abject poverty and hopelessness. On this trip, you’ll join the 25 Project’s ongoing ministry to children and families living in impoverished communities.
As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to serve both in a local village and at a three-day children’s Bible Camp. You will form meaningful relationships with local children as you enjoy sports, games, crafts, worship, and Bible study together. Your life will be changed as God uses you to impact children in the 25 Project Sponsorship Ministry. The team will serve for one week, but Jesus Christ will change children for eternity. Join us as a messenger of the Gospel in sharing the love of Christ and the hope found only in Him.
We will have a Mission Trip Interest Meeting on January 25 at 3 PM. For further information, email our Deacon of Missions Chuck Towne at cwtowne@att.net.
