The Jacksonville Pastors' Conference has stood as a fruitful voice for pastors in Southern Baptist life. The aim of the conference is to provide a time of encourage and renewal for pastors in the work God has called them to. The conference has included speakers such as Al Mohler, Ray Ortlund, Paul Tripp, J.D. Greear, Jim Cymbala, Ravi Zacharias, Tommy Nelson, Kent Hughes and many others.

The last three years I have had the joy of leading worship in the morning sessions, and the evening sessions have been led by their worship ministry, now under the leadership of my friend, Scott Connell.

This year, Dr. Mac Brunson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, spontaneously asked the gathering to pray for three specific pastors: H.B. Charles, who was recently appointed President of the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors Conference this year, Cameron Triggs, church planter of Grace Alive Church in Orlando, Florida, and for me and our team planting The Trails Church.

It was a gift to have these pastors pray for us, and I am excited to see God answer these prayers which were sown into our work. Please be praying for us in these three areas: that we would see people come to faith in Christ, discipled, and sent on mission.
