My Story

The Lord, in His kindness, gave me a godly family, and my earliest memories are at church among God’s people. In the summer of 2007, around the age of six, the Lord used my pastor’s faithful preaching to open my eyes to my sin and need for a Savior. I repented of my sins and trusted in Christ alone to save me, and I was baptized a few months later.

During my early teenage years, I learned to study the Bible more deeply and apply it to all of life. As I grew in Christ, the Lord cultivated within me a desire to teach God’s Word and serve the church. Ultimately, the Lord used the account of Jeremiah’s call in Jeremiah 1 to captivate my heart for gospel ministry. Over the years, the Lord has placed several godly men and women around me in the church to disciple me, encourage me, pray for me, and help me follow Jesus.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Dallas Baptist University and recently graduated with Master of Applied Theology and Master of Divinity degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In my last year of college, I married Emily, whom I have known since kindergarten. It is a joy to serve the church and pursue Christ together!

I am excited to serve as Pastoral Assistant at The Trails Church and labor alongside the team the Lord has assembled here to equip the saints and build up the body of Christ for the glory of God.

My Hope for The Trails

My hope for The Trails is that we would be a people who reverberate with the gospel in everything that we say, teach, sing, pray, and do. As we seek to glorify God by making disciples, I pray that the good news of Jesus would compel us to love God, love one another, and live on mission.
