My Story
Growing up, I had many Christian influences in my life. I attended church regularly, attended a Christian school, and had numerous family and friends who encouraged me to walk in obedience to God's Word. Although I acquired knowledge about the gospel, I lacked a personal understanding of God’s holiness, my sinfulness, and the implications of those two realities. When I was twelve years old, I attended a church camp where the gospel was clearly presented and I realized that I was indeed a sinner, separated from God. Only through repentance and faith in Christ could I be forgiven and reconciled to God. Overcome with a real sense of conviction and clarity, I trusted in Christ for my salvation. A few weeks later, I was baptized at my local church.
Following that decision, my perspective on every aspect of my life changed. I began to understand the authoritative role of Scripture in my life and the need to study, obey, and share it. In addition, I learned how to pray and depend on God for strength to obey. I began to see how obedience to God's commands was not a burden, but a life-giving, joy-filled invitation. Many of these lessons were brought about by men and women in my local church who willingly and graciously invested in me. I am so grateful for the Lord's kindness to me in salvation and in placing me in local churches that have been so formative in my own spiritual growth.
After high school, I completed a bachelor's degree in biblical studies and a master's degree in biblical counseling. In 2023, I married my best friend, Jayce, whom I have known since kindergarten. We are both so excited to be at The Trails!
My Hope for The Trails
My hope for The Trails is that we would be a church whose love for God and others is evident in the way we gather to worship each week, care for one another, love God's Word, and share the gospel with those around us. May He be glorified in all we do!
