Newton Family

Dear Church,

I am humbled to accept the role as Director of Trails Kids and greatly look forward to what God has in store for us as a church in the days to come.  For those of you that may not know me well, I have spent most of my career among young children.  My degree is in early education and after teaching in the classroom for a number of years, I transitioned into church ministry where I served in various administrative capacities.  After our two daughters were school aged, I began teaching again but this time with even smaller Littles in pre-school ministry.   I later took the role as Director of a local in preschool in Prosper where I have served for the last two years.

I am so thankful to God for calling our family to The Trails and greatly look forward to serving you and your families.  It is my greatest desire to get to know each of you and to celebrate the joys that come with watching your children grow and mature in the knowledge of the Lord.  I have begun praying for you and as Matt has modeled his genuine love for the people of this church already by praying for each of us by name, I commit to do the same.

I have spent many years of my life working alongside children and families and believe God has called me into this role specifically for a time such as this.  We are on the cusp of something great as God prepares and equips us to begin The Trails this fall and I have great expectations for what He has planned for the children and students in our church family and those in our community.

Would you join me in prayer as we continue to define the heart of this ministry and work the logistics out for our September start date?  I will be wrapping up my current position in May and will then begin focusing all my attention on Trails Kids.  Until then, please feel free to grab me at our next meeting with any thoughts or questions you may have.

Looking forward to the adventure ahead…

Amy Newton
