My Story
I was born into a Christian home and raised in a biblically faithful church in Knoxville, TN. As a typical firstborn daughter, I was a rule-follower and took pride in being the “good kid” who knew the right answers. While I knew about the Lord from a young age, it wasn’t until later in elementary school that I understood my sinfulness and need of a Savior. I repented of my sins, turned to Christ, and was baptized soon after.
Throughout my middle and high school years, the Lord provided many faithful leaders and mentors in my life who discipled me and helped me grow in my knowledge and love of Jesus. As I approached college, the Lord began stirring in me a desire for ministry and missions. After graduating, I taught in the public school system and then moved to Honduras to serve with a ministry based in El Progreso. When the world shut down in 2020, I returned to the States and since then, have had the joy of serving on a church staff and helping Christian ministries with their communications.
I will graduate next year with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and am so grateful to serve alongside the team at The Trails.
My Hope for The Trails
My hope for The Trails is that our love for the Lord and each other would abound, that we would grow in knowledge and discernment, and be filled with the fruit of righteousness, to the glory and praise of God (Philippians 1:9–11).
